Unser Familienverständnis

Die Humboldt-Universität sieht Familie überall dort, wo langfristige soziale Verantwortung für Angehörige wahrgenommen wird. So werden alle Eltern-Kind-Gemeinschaften – so beispielsweise auch Alleinerziehende, Patchworkfamilien und Regenbogenfamilien – aber auch Geschwisterbeziehungen sowie Ehe- und eheähnliche Partnerschaften als Sorgegemeinschaften mit einbezogen.

HU-Notbetreuung für Beschäftigte / Kostenerstattung privat entrichteter Kinderbetreuungskosten

Für Beschäftigte der HU besteht weiterhin die Möglichkeit, in besonderen Härtefällen eine punktuelle Kindernotbetreuung in der häuslichen Umgebung zu erhalten. Lehrende (auch studentische Tutor*innen) und MTSV, die aus dringenden betrieblichen Gründen einen zusätzlichen Betreuungsbedarf zur Betreuung in Kita, Kindertagespflege und/oder Schule haben, können sich per E-Mail an das Familienbüro wenden.

Neu: Auch eine Kostenerstattung privat entrichteter Kinderbetreuungskosten ist unter den genannten Bedingungen möglich. Das Angebot gilt, solange Mittel vorhanden sind. Für mehr Informationen wenden Sie sich bitte an das Familienbüro: familienservice@hu-berlin.de

 

Das Familienbüro der HU

Das Familienbüro ist die zentrale Koordinations- und Anlaufstelle für das Thema Familiengerechtigkeit. Dort finden Sie Unterstützung und Beratung bei der Suche nach individuellen Lösungen in Bezug auf Familie, Studium, Beruf und Pflege von Angehörigen.

Familienzimmer am Geographischen Institut

Im Familien- und Ruheraum, an unserem Institut, 3. Stock Altbau, Raum 3‘204, ist eine Ecke für kleinere Kinder, incl. Wickelmöglichkeit, Schlaf- und Arbeitsplatz eingerichtet.

Darüber hinaus können die folgenden Baby- und Kindermöbel ausgeliehen werden:

  • ein Reisebett mit Matratze
  • eine Babyhängematte für Babys bis ca. 9 Monate
  • ein Hochstuhl

Bitte bei Kathrin Trommler, 030 - 2093 9341, Raum 2'101 (2. Stock Neubau) nachfragen. 

In unserer geräumigen Unisex-Toilette im 1. Stock Altbau gibt es außerdem eine Wickelmöglichkeit für Babys.

Zudem steht im Neubau, Erdgeschoß, Raum 0‘104 (Sozialraum der Studenten), eine kleine Spielecke für Kinder zur Verfügung.

A quick word on family

Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin regards all relationships as family where persons take long-term social responsibility for relatives or partners. All parent-child relationships – including single parents, patchwork families and rainbow families – as well as siblings and matrimonial or similar relationships are included.

 

HU emergency childcare for employees / reimbursement of privately paid childcare costs
For employees of the HU, there is still the possibility to receive emergency childcare in the home environment in cases of special hardship. Lecturers (including student tutors) and MTSV who, for urgent operational reasons, have an additional childcare need to childcare in a daycare centre, daycare and/or school, can contact the Family Office by e-mail.
 
New: Reimbursement of privately paid childcare costs is also possible under the above conditions. The offer is valid as long as funds are available. For more information, please contact the Family Office: familienservice@hu-berlin.de
 
Family Support Centre of HU

The Family Support Centre is the central contact point for all issues relating to work-life balance or studies-life balance. We support and advise when you are searching for individual solutions regarding your family, studies and career or if you are caring for relatives. Our family room at the Geography Department
In the family and rest room, at our institute, 3rd floor old building, room 3'204, there is a corner for smaller children, incl. changing facilities, sleeping and working space.
 
In addition, the following baby and children's furniture can be borrowed:
  • a travel cot with mattress
  • a baby hammock for babies up to approx. 9 months of age
  • a high chair

There is also a baby changing facility in our spacious unisex toilet on the 1st floor of the old building.
 
In addition, a small play corner for children is available in the new building, ground floor, room 0'104 (students' social room).
