Staff Visit Germany, July 2022
This year, we were able to invite four selected members of our network to spend a week together in Berlin. During this week, the final workshop“Exploring Urban Agriculture in Global North and South” took place, where the students presented the preliminary results of their research projects and received valuable feedback from HU staff and partners. In addition, as part of the final joint excursion, we visited the "Roof-Water-Farm Berlin", where we learned about methods of "Vertical Farming", water use and quality in Berlin and the grey water recycling plant. In addition to the content of the program, the employees took part in various activities, such as an introduction to the "Science Park Adlershof" by Prof. Kulke and guided walks through the grounds, a sightseeing tour in Berlin-Mitte and finally our departmental summer party with barbecue and drinks.
