Staff Training Visit Kenya, February 2020
End of February 2020, Professor Werner Sommer from the Department of Psychology, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, travelled to Kenya. At University of Nairobi, he held a workshop on cognitive control in social situations with a special emphasis on facial expressions. The workshop provided state-of-the-art knowledge exchange and enabled students and researchers of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and University of Nairobi to expand their cooperation and to foster student exchange.
Furthermore, the mobility allowed Professor Sommer to support his PhD student Steve Muthusi in his research project. Steve Muthusi received a EAGER Trans-Net Erasmus+ scholarship for a study visit at HU in 2016 and has worked with Professor Sommer since then. Currently, he is a DAAD scholarship holder for his PhD research at HU and is supervised by Professor Sommer.
The 5-day staff training mobility of Professor Sommer was funded through the Erasmus+ programme.
