About me
I am a PhD candidate at the Institute of Nature Conservation of the Polish Academy of Sciences –IOP PAN-.In my PhD I approach the study of human-wildlife conflicts with a multiscale and interdisciplinary perspective. Specifically I have gathered data on brown bear damages to human properties across Europe and analyzed how compensation programs, landscape features and forest productivity can influence the occurrence of damages at different temporal and spatial scales. During my stay at HU Berlin, I will use remote sensing analysis to investigate the extent to which the occurrence of damage is associated to temporal variations in the availability of natural food resources.
