Climate Change and Cryosphere Research

Within research priority Climate Change and Cryosphere Research we are concerned with interconnections between atmosphere and cryosphere. We are particulary focussed on:

  • Impacts of climate, climate variability and climate change in glaciated regions on energy- and mass-balance of the cryosphere
  • effects of these impacts on the hydrological cycle at global and regional scale
  • climate-cryosphere-feedbacks
  • spatial and temporal high-resolution modelling and visualisation of these processual relations
