About me
I am interested in the environmental and productive performances of cattle ranching at different scales from paddocks to regions. Currently, I am trying to understand how to capture ranching systems variability in South American Dry Woodlands and Savannas, through reviewing isolated developed methods such as mowing maps together with new metrics such as silage bag mapping.
I am also interested in how to lessen the trade-offs between production and environment in cattle ranching, with a strong focus on Carbon.
During my PhD research I was looking at the trade-off between carbon and production in cattle ranching systems, but with a focus on silvopastures. I used diverse methods including field work, interviews and remote sensing in the Dry Chaco.
