About me
I am a Geographer, with a background in GIS and Spatial Analysis. My research interests are land use dynamics, land based climate change mitigation strategies and policy impacts assessment, with a focus on tropical areas. My doctoral project aims to quantify the contribution of past deforestation and forest recovery in the Brazilian Amazon to the carbon balance and understand how these processes influence and are influenced by current Brazilian policies related to land.
