The scholars took part in diverse classes and courses in the field of Geography, Agricultural Economics, African History, Culture and Psychology as well as German language classes. Most of the classes and events were held online. When meeting in small groups was finally possible in July, the scholars participated in several activities such as the introduction about Science Park Adlershof by Prof. Kulke and guided walks through the area, a sightseeing tour in Berlin-Mitte, our departmental summer party and a self-cooked German farewell lunch. Fortunately vaccination for all scholars could be offered and we were hence able to show that international exchange can be possible in a responsible manner despite the pandemic state of emergency.
